This is so ridiculous it couldn't possibly work... but I just tried it and it did work. Damn. Thanks!
Is it V30, 60 or 90?
Its not a V - CF express has a different naming system called VPG and its MUCH faster (see how it is explained in the table on the Delkin site): www.delkindevices.com/memory-card-breakdown-cfexpress-vs-sd/#:~:text=CFexpress%E2%84%A2%20Type%20A%20cards%20are%20rated%20Video%20Performance%20Guarantee,speeds%20of%20400%20MB%2Fs.

more distinct editing is needed for these types of video in the future, I was lost so much when you cross crossed and solo then duel operated these products. that said I'm going with the M2 for now. I wold also TOTALLY, at then end offer you opinion and offer maybe other options you feel were better for the price, or like you you said 'these can't compete with the real audio kings'... I have ZERO idea what that means and never will. I'd love if you included more knowledge for newcomers and vets alike.
Thank you for the feedback. Specifically for this product. As I commented to other users, the only advantages of the M2 are the size and price. Aside from that, I would go with the MAX. This was not a comparison to other products on the market - there are by now countless good options from different brands and this was not meant to be a roundup.
Great product 👌
what about bluetooth shooting
what do you mean?
Can I attach this head to Leofoto LB-75S ?
Sure. As long as the leveling base has a 3/8" male connector you can use this head with it. Our unit is still working 7 years later (really fantastic head) and we use a leveling base.
Question: Are the magnets of the Lark M2 and Max interchangeable and fit in the case? I have the M2 and using the no-logo magnet would look nice. Thanks for the great video!
Interesting question - not 100% - I can say that I lost one magnet and replaced it with a random round magnet and it works fine.
This drive is useless if you don’t use a thunderbolt connection it will tell you there’s not enough power msking the drive useless
No. I just connected it to my desktop PC USB-C (not TB) front port and it worked fine (not talking speed just the actual connection). It depends on the port and the cable that you are using.
thanks you for the review, its on sale - prime day (7-17-24)
i found it very hard to believe that this product wouldnt work on usb A ports. So i contacted their support team and they are saying it should work on any usb A port, as long as it provides enough power. Can you provide any details to what devices with what usb A versions you have tried to connect this product?
I don't recall what I did with this drive a year+ ago but I still have the drive and I tested it on several of my USB-A ports on my new PC and I got a massage that it doesn't work.
@@IddoGenuth thats very disappointing! I was looking forward to buy this drive. I guess i will go for the sandisk extreme pro than ...
I don't understand this counter-performance of those from Sigma with this lens on wide open.. I was determined to buy this lens and use it on portrait & landscape stills but it is too soft at the maximum opening to use it on portraiture..
I have the Pro Thunderbolt 3 version and am very happy with it. The cable that comes with it is ideal for my Mac Mini. Fun fact: "LaCie" is actually a pun. The parent company is Seagate and "La Cie" is French for "The Company". Lol! The enclosed chip is called a "FireCuda", which of course is a mythical sea monster. 🐟🌊
Did you directly tether your camera to the monitor? Would like to have that setup as well!
HDMI cable should do that but it won't allow you to control the camera.
Hey Art, I loved your review. Although I still have doubts about whether to buy the MAX or the M2. I am a filmmaker and I do many interviews and REELs with two iPhones, the 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance. Greetings!
Hi, Art is not around but as we noted in some comments for other users - the M2 only advantage is its size and weight otherwise the MAX is the much better option so decide based on this.
@@IddoGenuthWHAT DOES TAHT MEAN THO?! YOU GUYS HAVE TO DO BETTER IF YU CHOOSE TO ENGAGE OR ASSIGN YOU STAFF TO ENGAGE IN THE COMMENT SECTIONS. 'SO MUCH BETTER' IS A NOTHING BURGER.
sorry no caps****. I'm falling asleep and can't re-edit my comment.
@@Ionic457 What is your question?
I was hoping the M2 combo simultaneous rx for both the TX's. ( I am waiting for a reply from Hollyland). The Max sounds better, better build quality (although both are solid), and since you can record, you can get separate audio if only in post-production. Still unsure what I will buy.
The only advantage of the M2 is size and weight - if these are a must-go with the M2 but remember its shortcomings (there are quite a few) otherwise the MAX is the better option - it is heavy so using it on its own with a T-shirt might not be a good idea.
I want to open a live broadcast from my phone while fishing. The wind can be my biggest enemy. Which one do you think I should choose? Maybe later I can buy an action camera and broadcast live from there.
If the size of the transmitter doesn't bother you go with the Lark Max - it is just a better solution all around. Please make sure in advance that you will be able to connect it to your action camera (you will need the camera to support a 3.5mm jack or get a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter that actually works with your action camera - trust me its not always as straight forward as this sounds so do your research).
@@IddoGenuth Yep, I hadn't thought about that before. Thanks for your suggestions.
I just started getting into this: I have the half cage, the f22 adapter for a phone mount, and an f38 tripod base so far. I haven’t found a single thing I don’t like about the pieces I have! They are really surprisingly strong and don’t rattle when clicked into place. All metal is the way to go here and I’m happy so far. Here’s to hoping it has good longevity too, as I’m hoping this system will replace all the other random accessories I’ve used in the past.
Did not work on my A7IV. Gives me a DB File error.
La Cie is a pun. The parent company is Seagate, and La Cie is French for "The Company". The enclosed chip is called a "FireCuda", which presumably is some sort of mythical sea monster. Lol. 🌊 I just bought one of the Pro thunderbolt ones for my Mac Mini 🧡
Lacie was purchased by Seagate in 2012 (integrated 2 years later) and has been a Seagate brand ever since (read the Wiki page).
I was the first batch of supporter for a Chargeasap Zeus 270W white but received it almost the last in the queue. After using it for 1 month, the USB ports broke one by one. I claimed warranty and waited over 8 months and finally received a Zeus 280W black. After 2 months of usage, it started overheating. It started by charging my MacBook Pro for a second and stop charging in the next second. Meanwhile, the USB-A port also stop working, Review? This is the one.
I am sorry to hear that. I am not sure what I would do in this situation after so much time and returning this once already - maybe ask for my money back?
one of the few great and honest reviews about this product. I think it shows that there is lots of work to be done and it can be a great product in the future.
There is a lot more info, tips, and gear in the full article on LensVid (link in the description). * Sorry for the Gopro video/audio quality.
I just buy the teleprompter, quite tough build.. good quality product
Talking too much
Welcome to the Lensvid team Lew :)
Let's do this!
I've recently started repurchasing all my batteries with a USB-C charging port. It's been so nice not having to track down or pack multiple chargers. USB-C everything!! 😅😅💡
My Yuji NormLites were the most expensive bulbs I've ever bought but every R number is over 90. It's insane.
Clarification: this LensVid Talk was recorded in March 2024 but is only posted now due to scheduling (we will get back to our normal scheduling in the next talk).
So in the end the lens can be recommended for birders and spotter, while decaff for the host.
?
I have also been waiting for a Lens like this for many years, so I was fast to order and I was one of the first to get the Sigma 500mm 5.6 DG DN OS Sports 024 Lens. When I got it I was surprised of how small and light weight i actually is in real life. The optical image quality is excellent, the Lens is very easy to use and handle and I have been hiking in the nature for hours, just holding the Lens in m hands, I can highly recommend the Sigma 500mm 5.6 DG DN OS Sports 024 Lens ! The lock mode for the aperture ring should also be able to lock at all aperture settings. The buttons on the side should have been a bit harder, when I take the Lens from the bag, I sometimes hit a button and it will be in the wrong setting when I start to use it. About image stabilization, on Sony R-series Cameras there seems to be a bit of the same problem as with the Sony 200-600mm 5.6-6.3 G Lens, the R-series Cameras does not communicate proper enough with the in-body and Lens stabilizer, so sometimes the images get a bit blurry. I am surprised that Sony and/or Tamron do not have any compact and light weight 400mm, 500mm and 600mm Lenses ! Back in time there was the very good Minolta 400mm 4.5 for Sony A mount. It is very impressive that Sigma have made this Lens design without using "PF" ("DO") elements !
Excellent video 😊!
Does it only go up to 60hz?
I believe so. Nothing too special for a none gaming monitor.
Cheers
You can get a Nikon 500/4.0 for around $2k.
That is great value for money for Nikon shooters. Sadly there is no such option for Sony. Of course, it's a very old lens that is big and heavy (not sure how its AF will perform on a modern Z9) but again if you are only interested in IQ and reach (and aperture) - go for it.
There are many DSLR lenses you can get such as the Canon 400mm F4 DO or even the Sigma 500mm F4 for the same price, but they are much heavier. Weight aside, this new sigma lens is also physical very small.
@@KurtisPape a telephoto is something that needs at least a monopod no matter how much it weights. It’s not like shooting a 50.
@@bngr_bngrno it doesn't....I own this lens and it's a breeze to use handheld, it's image quality and stabilization is outstanding !!!
@@bngr_bngr Not necesarly. I can tell you that Matan shoots handheld with his 600mm and gets amazing shots that are super sharp. You need to be stable and a monopod/tripod will help but if you are stable enough and know how to correctly hold the camera you can shoot handheld - certainly with this type of light and compact lens (and for birds, you are shooting with very fast shutter speeds anyway most of the time).
Sounds like quality control is still an issue for Samyang, given the difference between the first and second copy.
There seem to be durability issues with the 504X. Check the reviews at B&H.
how do u remove the hood? once the hood is on it doesnt come off. quite shitty tbh
Not sure honestly its still on our unit :/
Bro was really staring at my soul 😂😂but in all seriousness really helpful video
This just worked for me.. thank f!!!! Was having a melt down 😅 Thankyouuu
Does the same remote and transmitter also work on Weebill 3s?
I have the same question
For those who are interested it's worth going over the test results in the full article (link in the video description) there are some interesting findings there.
As of today May 25th, 2024, out of 4 videos on CAME-TV V Mount Charger and Power Station I've watched, yours is the BEST. It's because you cover ALMOST all the details of this equipment that a potential buyer needs to know. For example, you mention it can power a NON BATTERY light by plugging it into the inverter socket of this unit. You also talk about its disvantages. One of them is It can charge only 1 battery at a time even though you can attach 2 batteries to it at the same time. Thank you for such an excellent job
Really helpful video thanks - I have the Pronstoor and it's annoying having to stick Gaffer tape over the hole after use to stop dust getting into the unit. It looks like the pan of the teleprompter at the start of your video shows that there's a cover for when it's not in use... Thanks again
Thanks for the shoutout guys! Both sizes we have 60cm and the 150cm also fit on some nanlite and godox domes as some of my customers have been reporting. Also just yesterday we released a 2x2 version primarily to fit the amaran F22c but I know it will also fit nanlite and other 2x2 modifiers..... ruclips.net/video/0ZNNzZUk9bA/видео.htmlsi=9XVZeUucTcMVR4IN All the best, I 'm enjoying the channel
Excellent review sir, straight to the point and gave me all of what I needed to purchase this SSD. Thank you.
Thanks for the video! Do you think using the set of 2x M1 its good for pulling focus, latency wise? Thanks!
M... if anything go for the new enhanced M1s with shorter latency if I am not mistaken. Since I didn't test them I can't comment but if you are a pro focus puller I would go for something much more expensive if this is number one on my list.
El mejor sin duda sigma, pero muy cerca está Samyang, Sony queda en último. Samyang por el precio creo que es una opción muy interesante. Pero si quieres ir a lo seguro sigma.
Yes it's woked still in 2024 may
:) physics doesn't change
Thanks for the review. Is there a way to tilt in portrait mode on the left side for « left viewers » ? It seems it can fully go in portrait mode only on the right side.
You are 100% correct - we are still using the 405 almost every day 7 years later and initially we didn't shoot too many vertical shots with it which changed over the years. Now that we do we added a small arca base that spins on the top which does help.
@@IddoGenuth Thanks your answer. An L-Bracket may be the solution finally.
@@valbou1089 Yeah and also the new vertical lens adapters - I still prefer the adapter that we got as it is much more accurate and allows me to fine-tune the exact angle.
Creepy presentation
